Add Comment Form beneath Blogger post.

If you leave a comment at a Wordpress blog, the form is placed right under the blog post you are viewing instead of opening a new page to comment like Blogspot . This is a popular demand for bloggers. Finally, Blogger has listened to our requests by developing an inline Comment Form for Blogger blog.

To turn on the embedded comment form, log in to http://draft.blogger.com/ and go to Settings > Comments for your blog. You’ll see that the “Show comments in a popup window?” setting has been replaced with the new “Comment Form Placement” setting. Just click “Embedded below post,” save your settings, and go check out a post to see your new comment form.

If your template was customized before, you can make a small change for adding this form in your blog. Thanks Gman for this hint!

Go to Layout > Edit HTML, check the "Expand widget templates" box and search for this line of code:

<b:include data='post' name='comments'/>

And add this following code right after it:

<b:include data='post' name='comment-form'/>

Save your setting and open an entry in your blog to see the comment form displaying beneath the post .

If it doesn't work for some reason, you can try this hack from Amanda' blog as below:

Search for this section of code:

<p class='comment-footer'>
<b:if cond='data:post.allowComments'>
<a expr:href='data:post.addCommentUrl'
expr:onclick='data:post.addCommentOnclick'>
<data:postCommentMsg/></a> </b:if>
</p>

And replace with entire section of code as the following:

<p class='comment-footer'>
<b:if cond='data:post.embedCommentForm'>
<b:include data='post' name='comment-form'/>
<b:else/> <b:if cond='data:post.allowComments'>
<a expr:href='data:post.addCommentUrl'
expr:onclick='data:post.addCommentOnclick'>

</b:if> </p>

Anh Vo, a Vietnamese Blogger hacker has offered a very simple tip to add this form into Classic Template.
Just copy this line of code:

<p class="comment-timestamp" align="center">
<$BlogItemCreate$></p>

and paste it right above this tag:

</BlogItemCommentsEnabled>

Save your template and you're finished. So easy, isn't it?
